Question 75396: 17=x(x+12)
Answer by checkley75(3666) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
17=X(X+12)
X^2+12X-17=0
USING THE QUADRATIC EQUATION WE GET:
X=(-12+-SQRT[12^2-4*1*-17])/2*1
X=(-12+-SQRT[144+68])/2
X=(-12+-SQRT212)/2
X=(-12+-14.56)/2
X=(-12+14.56)/2
X=2.56/2
X=1.28 SOLUTION.
X=(-12-14.56)/2
X=-26.56/2
X=-13.28 SOLUTION.
