Question 751600: The current (I) in an electrical conductor varies inversely as the resistance (r) of the conductor. The current is 2 amperes when the resistance is 960 ohms. What is the current when the resistance is 480 ohms?
Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Formula: I varies inversely as the resistance
I = k/r (k = constant of variation)
Find k
2 amps = k/ 960 ohms
Therefore k = 1920
Formula: I = 1920/r
I = 1920/ 480
I = 4 amps
