Question 747063: how do you show work for sovling y=x2-2
Answer by mikeebsc(26) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I'm assuming that you mean :
y=X^2-2 (In English: y = x squared minus 2)
If so:
subtract y from both sides like this:
y=X^2-2
-y -y
x^2-2-y
Then arrange the order from the variable with the highest exponent to no variable.
x^2-y-2
