Question 733597: 5(3x)=16(x+2)
Answer by opie95(4) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5(3x)=16(x+2)
5(3x) becomes 15x as you multiply them together
16(x+2) becomes 16x + 32
your equation is then 15x=16+32
You can do it 2 ways. You can subtract 15x from both sides and subtract 32 from both sides or you can subtract 16x from both sides and have -x=32 and then move your negative sign. either way you are going to end up with the equation of
x = -32
