(3/8)x+2=x+(5/6) here lcm is 24 so multiply both sides by 24
(3/8)*24*x+2*24=24*x+(5/6)*24
9x+48=24x+20
48-20=24x-9x changing sides
28=15x
28/15=x

(3/8)*(28/15)+2=(28/15)+(5/6)

3 = 3
