Question 724573: 6 - 3(x + 1) = 15
Answer by JBarnum(2146)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
6 - 3(x + 1) = 15
First thing I would do is distribution of the negative 3
6-3x-3=15
Subtract 3 from 6
3-3x=15
Subtract 3 from both sides of equal sign
-3x=12
Divide by negative 3
x=-4
