(y-2)/(x-4)= -2
This question is from textbook Elementary Algebra

Answer by Sandacious(9)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Y-2
____ = -2
X-4
Multiply both sides of the equation by (X-4) That will cancel the denominator.
You'll get:
Y-2 = -2X +8
Now add 2 to both sides:
Y = -2X +10
If you had to graph it. You'd start at 10 on the Y axis, go down 2 over 1.
