Question 708927: How do I put the equation 3x+5y=45 in slope-intercept form?
Answer by nerdybill(7384) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Slope-intercept form is:
y = mx + b
where
m is the slope
b is the y-intercept
.
3x+5y=45
subtracting 3x from both sides:
5y = -3x+ 45
dividing both sides by 3:
y = (-3x+ 45)/5
y = (-3/5)x + 9
