Question 705778: (x/1)+[2/(x-1)]=3 Solve for x
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(x/1)+[2/(x-1)]=3 Solve for x
------
Multiply thru by x-1 to get:
x(x-1) + 2 = 3(x-1)
----
x^2-x + 2 = 3x-3
x^2 -4x + 5 = 0
(x-5)(x+1) = 0
----
x = -1 or x = 5
