Question 701459: Hello!
I am having trouble with my homework and I would be very happy if someone could help me out.
The question is:
5m+2=3m+5
The answer is supposed to be:
m= 1 and 1/2 (a half)
I have no idea how they got there and I especially have no clue about the fraction part.
Thank you!

5m+2 = 3m+5 First, subtract 3m from both sides of the equation.
5m-3m+2 = 3m-3m+5 Simplify.
2m+2 = 5 Now subtract 2 from both sides.
2m+2-2 = 5-2 Simplify.
2m = 3 Finally, divide both sides by 2.
