Question 691333: The sum of the 3 angles of a triangle is 180 degrees. In triangle PQR, the largest angle is twice the size of the smallest angle. The remaining angle is 16 degrees larger than the smallest. Write and solve an equation to find the size of the smallest angle in degrees.

LET X BE THE SMALLEST ANGLE.
2X=THE LARGEST ANGLE.
X+16 IS THE THIRD ANGLE.
X+2X+(X+16)=180
3X=180-16
3X=164
X=164/4
X=41 DEGREES IS THE SMALLEST ANGLE.
PROOF:
41+2*41+41+16=180
41+82+41+16=180
180=180
