Please solve these simultaneous equations:
y=x+2
y=x^2+4x-8
:
we can write it
x^2 + 4x - 8 = x + 2
x^2 + 4x - x - 8 - 2 = 0
x^2 + 3x = - 10 = 0
Factors to
(x+5)(x-2) = 0
x = 2, then y = 4
x =-5, then y = -3
