2b=20+b
if you divide 2b by b you will get b
so if you do something to one side of the equation, do it to the other, too and you'll be ok.
like:subtract the b's from your equation
and you will have: b=20 and thats the answer
you can check by putting 20 instead of b: 2 (20) = 20 + 20
40 = 40
