2(x+3.5)+4(2x-1)=7x-5(2x+3)
Here is my work
2x+7+8x-4=7x-10x-15
10x-3=-3x-15
13x=-12
x=-12/13
My professor has given us the correct answer of x=-4/9
But I can not figure out how to get to this. Thank you for your help!
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2(x+3.5)+4(2x-1)=7x-5(2x+3)
2*x+2*3.5+4*2x-4*1=7x-5*2x-5*3
2x+7+8x-4=7x-10x-15
10x+3=7x-10x-15
10x+3=-3x-15
10x=-3x-15-3
10x+3x=-15-3
13x=-15-3
13x=-18
x = -18/13
So there's a typo somewhere. Double check everything please. Thanks.
