Question 65246: 4(x-2)+5=5(x-1)+2
Answer by funmath(2933)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4(x-2)+5=5(x-1)+2
4x-8+5=5x-5+2
4x-3=5x-3
4x-4x-3=5x-4x-3
0-3=x-3
-3=x-3
-3+3=x-3+3
0=x

Check, if x=0 do the sides equal?
4(0-2)+5=5(0-1)+2
4(-2)+5=5(-1)+2
-8+5=-5+2
-3=-3 We're right!!!
Happy Calculating!!!
