find f(-2) for the function f(x)=2x^2+x-5
.
simply plug in -2 for x:
f(x)=2x^2+x-5
f(-2)=2(-2)^2+(-2)-5
f(-2)=2(4)+(-2)-5
f(-2)=8-2-5
f(-2)= 1
