Question 62931: For the equation x-square root x = 0, perform the following:
a) Solve for all values of x that satisfies the equation.
b) Graph the functions y = x and y = square root x on the same graph (by plotting points if neccessary). Show the points of intersection of these two graphs.
c) How does the graph relate to part a?

Answer by 303795(602)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
For part a only
can be factorised to get

So either ie x=0
or ie x=1
The two solutions must therefore be x=0 and x=1
