Question 627750: hello,
what is the answer for (.5)(5)
Thank you!
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Take the number 0.5 and move the decimal one spot to the right to get 5.0 or just 5
We'll be moving the decimal back one spot to the left when we're done.
Now multiply 5 and 5 to get 25
Then write 25 as 25.0
and then move the decimal point 1 spot to the left to get 2.5
So 0.5 times 5 is 2.5
