If n= 3p, for what value of p is n = p?

--------
zero is the only answer.
If 1/3 was another answer, 1/3 would have to equal 3(1/3)
Then 1/3 would have to equal 1.
Since that is not true, 1/3 is not an answer.
However, zero is an answer because 0=(1/3)0

If n= 3p, for what value of p is n = p?
Let n=3p
3p=p
3p-p=p-p
2p=0
2p/2=0/2
p=0

This one was weird, I might not have given this one a try if you hadn't have indicated to answer from the book. Thanks for the brain teaser.
Happy Calculating!!!

I have to go with the book answer because:
For p = 0
the same value as p!
For p = 1/3:
but p = 1/3...not the same!
