Question 615085: I am having such a hard time understanding these, can you please help me quick!Solve using the elimination method. Show your work. If the system has no solution or an infinite number of solutions, state this.
-3x + 4y = 1
-6x + 6y = -3
Answer by scott8148(6628) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
multiplying the 1st equation by 2 (this will make the x-coefficients equal so the terms can be eliminated by subtracting)
___ -6x + 8y = 2
subtracting the 2nd equation ___ 2y = 5
solve for y, then substitute back to find x
