When you have a problem such as 3y-7y=28, how would you simplify the problem? Would it be -4y=28?
You've done the first step, you can now divide both sides of the = sign by -4.
:
Check, do both sides = if y=-7?
3(-7)-7(-7)=28 ?
-21+49=28 ?
28=28 We're right!!!
Happy Calculating!!!
