Question 598431: I NEED HELP PLEASE HELP :( 5)
-x+y=6
y=-7x+14

Answer by ankor@dixie-net.com(22740)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-x + y = 6
y = -7x + 14
:
Replace y in the 1st equation with (-7x+14), from the 2nd equation
-x + (-7x+14) = 6
-x - 7x = 6 - 14
-8x = -8
Divide both sides by -8, resulting in
x = 1
:
Find y using the 2nd equation replace x with 1
y = -7(1) + 14
y = -7 + 14
y = +7
:
Check solutions in the 1st equation replace x and y
