Question 597386: I am just beginning with Solving Two-step Equations and am at a loss. Most of the time if I can see a problem worked out on paper I can figure it out from there. The problem is x divided by 6 minus 3 equals 1. Any help would be great

The problem is x divided by 6 minus 3 equals 1.
:
- 3 = 1
Add 3 to both sides
= 1 + 3
= 4
multiply both sides by 6
x = 4*6
x = 24

You can check this for yourself in the original equation
