A parsec is approximately 3.1 x 10^16 meters. If the distance to the farthest observable galaxies is approximately 1.62 x 10^9 parsecs, approximately how many meters is it to the farthest observable galaxies?
------------
(1.62 x 10^9)*(3.1 x 10^16)
=(1.62*3.1)*(10^9 * 10^16)
=5.022 x 10^25 meters

Answer by uma(370) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1 parsec = 3.1 x 10^16 m
so 1.62 x 10^9 parsecs = 1.62 x 10^9 x 3.1 x 10^16
= 5.022 x 10^25 m
The farthest observable galaxies is 5.022 x 10^25 m
(approximately)
