Question 58540: Solve for y: y-2/5=y+1/3
Answer by funmath(2933) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve for y: y-2/5=y+1/3
You can't, watch:
-y+y-2/5=-y+y+1/3
0-2/5=0+1/3
-2/5=1/3 The y's were eliminated and -2/5 does not = 1/3, there's no solution.
Happy Calculating!!!
