Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3/7 - 18x = 3/9
shift the variable on one side of the equation
3/7-3/9 = 18x
LCD = 63. Multiply equation by 63
3*63/7 -3*63/9 = 18x*63
27-21=1134
6=1134x
x=6/1134
x=1/189

your problem

first you need to move the 3/7 with the 3/9 and will need a common denominator.

now we can move it:

now devide each side by -18

so we multiply by the recripical

simplify
