3%28x%2F3%29=3%282%29
3x%2F3=6
cross%283%29x%2Fcross%283%29=6
x=6

Check by substituting 6 in where your x is and see if both sides of the equation are equal:
6%2F3=2
2=2

Multiply both sides by 3 to get:
x=6
Proof:
Substitute 6 in place of "x" and see if you get a true statement.
6/3=2
2=2
It is true.
