Question 529181: How do you solve the equation 5x-8y-9=0 in standard form?
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
To place the equation in standard form, just add 9 to both sides to get
5x-8y = 9
and it's now in standard form Ax+By = C where A = 5, B = -8 and C = 9
