Question 52645: I'm trying to solve this equation for y in terms of x.
-2x + 2y = 1

Answer by EduDragon(8)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The first thing that needs to be done is move the 2y to the other side to isolate the x. Do that by subtracting 2y from both sides: 2x = -2y + 1.
Since you are solving for a single x divide both sides of the equation by -2. and the answer is x = y - 1/2.
