I am trying to come up with a answer to this equation?
2.7 + 0.8n = 4
Subtract 2.7 from both sides and you have:
.8n = 4 - 2.7
.8n = 1.3
Divide both sides by .8 and you have:
1n = 1.3/.8
n = 1.625
Check solution by substituting 1.625 for n in the original equation:
2.7 + .8n = 4
2.7 + .8(1.625) = 4
2.7 + 1.3 = 4
