Leave the answer in fraction form otherwise you will be mucking about with a very ugly repeating decimal. Ew-w-w-w.
Prove the answer: Take your solution and substitute it back into the original equation. Do all indicated arithmetic. You should get the same number on both sides of the equal sign.
