Question 500898: If 2x-4=6x-10 what is the value of x?
Answer by Maths68(1474) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2x-4=6x-10
Add 4 both sides of the equation
2x-4+4=6x-10+4
2x=6x-6
Subtract 6x from both sides of the equation
2x-6x=6x-6-6x
-4x=-6
Divide by -4 both sides of the equation
-4x/-4=-6/-4
x=3/2
