Question 493095: So i'm doing my algebra homework, and most of the questions are just like this one but just with different variables and numbers. So if you could help me by showing the steps so I could figure out the other ones by myself that'd be great (: Thank you!
-34=v+42-5v
Answer by deborabr(181) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-34=v+42-5v --> separate the single numbers of the numbers with variables changing them of side and don't forget of change the signal too
-34-42=v-5v --> now calculate them
-76=-4v *(-1) --> if the two are negative you can multiply all by (-1) to change the signal
76=4v --> pass the number that is multiplying dividing to isolate the variable "v"
76/4=v --> calculate and find the value of "v"
19=v
