Question 49240: Please help with this question. This is my first homework for Geometry, I have had Algebra I and these are review questions. It is from a worksheet and our teacher did not want to give us any help the first day of school after three months away from Algebra. Thank you.
2(3-x)= 16(x+1)
I have got to 6-2x = 16x+16
I am confused on what to do to each side of the equation to get the right answer.

Well, you are right so far.
Now you need to collect the x's onto one side of the equation by adding 2x to both sides.
Subtract 16 from both sides.
Finally, divide both sides by 18.
Simplify.
