x + 1 = next page

x + x + 1 = 69 {sum of pages is 69}
2x + 1 = 69 {combined like terms}
2x = 68 {subtracted 1 from both sides}
x = 34 {divided both sides by 2}
x + 1 = 35 {substituted 34, in for x, into x + 1}

34 and 35 are the page numbers
