then
x*5-8
5x-8
Q3: 2L+2W=P
2(L+W)=P
L+W=2P
L=2P-W
Q4: problem not written properly
Q5: Let the Original price be x
Then
x-60/100 of x=34
x-60/100x=34
=34

40x=34*100
40x=3400
x=3400/40
x=85

For question 2, the other tutor wrote 5x - 8. However, this 5x is being subtracted from 8; it should be 8 - 5x.

#4 needs to be rewritten.

#8 can be solved; if we let x be the number,

x+12 > 3x

12 > 2x

6 > x

Therefore all numbers less than 6 satisfy.
