Solve by completing the square:
x2 + 6x + 4 = 0
(x+3)^2 + 4 =9 A note here we add the 9 here to the right because we added a nine to the left side. Where? If you FOIL (x+3)^2 you will have a +9 as part of the answer.
the final answer is (x+3)^2 +4 =9 or (x+3)^2 -5=0
