Set each factor equal to zero and solve for x:
4x-3=0
4x=3
x=3/4

x+1=0
x=-1
.
Check each value by plugging it back into the original equation:
4x+1=3/x
4(3/4) + 1 = 43/(3/4)
3+1=4
