Below I have graphed the two functions by rearranging each into the form "y=mx+c" where m is the gradient and c is the y-axis intercept.
The equations of the lines are:
y=2x-4 (red)
y=2x-6 (green)

If we rearrange
2x-y=4
2x-y=6
into
y = 2x - 4
y = 2x - 6
Both have a slope of 2...hence they are parallel and no solution exists...
The first one crosses the y-axis at (0, -4) and the second crosses at (0, -6).
