Question 434674: how to solve this question? I always get trouble with these Quadratics problems.....factorize 6x^2+13x-5 please show me how to solve it :)
Answer by katealdridge(100)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Split the middle term into two terms that multiply to get or (this is the first term times the last term) and add or subtract to get 13x (the middle term). This is 15x and -2x
Then separate the polynomial into two by using parentheses as shown
Find the greatest common factor of each polynomial and factor it out
When you are distributing two different numbers to the same polynomial, you can combine the two different numbers into one binomial.
