Question 433522: Hello. I wasn't sure which category to put this question in, because this is about Factors. I am having trouble with one of my homework questions, and I unfortunately submitted the wrong answer.
Here is the problem: List the factors in each expression: (a + b)12
My answer was:
1 x 12
2 x 6
3 x 4
1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12
The teacher told me this:
"the factors for this problem would be the values that are being multiplied together. For example, 9x(1+b) would have the factors 9, x, and (1+b). Can you see how this would change your answer?"
Can you help me, please? Thank you so much.

(a+b) is also a factor.
