Question 433385: a car been driven a total of 6000 miles.The owner bought the car used.When purchased the car it already had already driven 300 miles.The owner has had the car for 3 months. Write an equation to determine approximately how many miles the owner drives each month.
Answer by belle3833(46) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the owner has driven 5700 miles in 3 months (6000-300)
so he drives 5700/3= 1900 miles a month
Miles = (number of months n) x 1900
so your equation is m=1900n
