SOLUTION: I'm trying re-arrange an equation to the form D = ....... Where F = (2 * H * D * ( D - L ))/(( H - D + L )( H + D - L )) and H = (L^2)/(f D) I just keep tying myself up

Question 4174: I'm trying re-arrange an equation to the form D = .......
Where
F = (2 * H * D * ( D - L ))/(( H - D + L )*( H + D - L ))
and
H = (L^2)/(f * D)
I just keep tying myself up in knots while doing it :(
If it helps, for any given scenario, D and L are changeable 'constants' so f is the real variable.
I think the form is quadratic, hence posting it here.

which do you want re-writing as D=?...the F= or the H= one?

Also you mention f in one of them. I take it, you meant F?
