Question 415913: I don't know if this is thr right category to put this under but the lesson I was taught today was about solving equation with variables on Both Sides.
Here's the preblem I'm stuck on:
2(4x+15)=8x+3
I don't know whAt to do for my first step.
Answer by richard1234(7193) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You could expand the left side to obtain
2(4x+15) = 8x+30 = 8x+3
Right away we conclude that there is no solution that satisfies the equation (if you don't see why, subtract 8x from both sides).
