5/4x + 1/4x = 2x + 1/2 + 3/4x
6/4x = 8/4x + 1/2 + 3/4x
6/4x = 1/2 + 11/4x
-1/2 = 5/4x
(-1/2)(4/5) = x
-2/5 = x
Check:
5/4x + 1/4x = 2x + 1/2 + 3/4x
5/4(-2/5) + 1/4(-2/5) = 2(-2/5) + 1/2 + 3/4(-2/5)
-1/2 + -1/10 = -4/5 + 1/2 - 3/10
-5/10 + -1/10 = -8/10 + 5/10 - 3/10
-6/10 = -6/10 It is correct!
