SOLUTION: t/t-4 = t + 4/6
I ended up with 2(t/t-4)=2(t+4/6)but it says that is not correct. How do I do problems like this one?

Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
t/t-4 = t + 4/6
I assume you mean t/(t-4) and not (t/t) - 4
Use parentheses.
----------
t/(t-4) = (t+4)/6
Multiply thru by 6(t-4)
6t = (t-4)*(t+4) = t^2 - 16
(t-8)*(t+2) = 0
t = -2, 8
