3x+4y=5 .....1
2x-5y=-12.....2
3x+4y=5 .............1
2x-5y=-12.............2

multiply (1)by -2
Multiply (2) by 3
-6x-8y =-10
6x-15y =-36

Add the two equations

-23y=-46

/-23

y=2
Plug value of y in
3x+4y=5
3x+8=5
3x=-3
/3
x=-1

Hi
Solving System by elimination
3x+4y=5
2x-5y=-12
Eliminating y
15x+20y=25 | 1st Equation Multiplied by 5
8x-20y=-48 | 2nd Equation Multiplied by 4
23x = -23
x = -1 and y = 2 |(5-3x)/4 = 8/4 = 2
