Question 414174: solve by the elimination method
x+7y=18
-x+4y=4
The solution is?

Answer by sudhanshu_kmr(1152)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

after adding both equations, we find 11y = 22 , y =2
now after putting value of y in equation first, we find....
x + 14 = 18
=> x = 4
so, x =4, y=2
