10%281.1-t%2B2.2t%29=10%285.9%29 Multiply both sides by 10 to clear out the decimals.


11-10t%2B22t=59 Distribute and multiply.


11%2B12t=59 Combine like terms on the left side.


12t=59-11 Subtract 11 from both sides.


12t=48 Combine like terms on the right side.


t=%2848%29%2F%2812%29 Divide both sides by 12 to isolate t.


t=4 Reduce.
