Carlos speed = x mph
elena speed = x+7 mph
..
Carlos ---- distance = 45 km
elena ----- distance = 66 km
...

The time taken is the same by both
...
time elena = time carlos

cross multiply
45(x+7)=66x
45x+315=66x
66x-45x=315
21x=315
/21
x=315/21
x=15 kmph ------- speed of Carlos
x+7 = 15+7 = 22 kmph ------- speed of elena
